You may not have noticed it before, but the amount of interest your credit card charges appears on your credit card statements each month. The interest rate may show up in different places/pages for each of your creditors. Some creditors will show it at the bottom of the first page, while others will display your interest rate charges at the end of your statement activity. Typically you will want to look for the information in a boxed section as shown in the picture below.
If you don’t have a copy of your credit card statement handy and don’t know your interest rate, that’s okay – you can skip that part for now. When you get your next month’s statement, log back into your UGotiate account and update the interest rates.
Entering in your interest rates is important – especially early on in using UGotiate. When researching your options for debt relief, it is smart to look at your situation as a whole and to take time to compare and study the options available to you. When you enter in the interest rates for all of your credit cards, UGotiate can more accurately estimate and compare how long it will take you to resolve your debt as well as how much you will pay back in total – for all of the options available to you.
