Receiving notice from a creditor that an offer you submitted has been accepted is great news! The acceptance letter typically will state something like ‘We will accept your recent offer of $xxx to resolve your account’.
Now that you have reached a settlement with a creditor, it is important to report this in UGotiate. After logging in to your account, update that the creditor has accepted your offer. From there, UGotiate will guide you in what to do next – from checking your letter to setting up payment.
The most important step after receiving an accepted offer is to review the letter to make sure it is a valid settlement letter. This MUST be done before sending payment. A Settlement Letter must contain certain information for it to be considered valid. To check your letter, follow the instructions in this article: ‘Checking a settlement letter before sending payment’.
Congratulations on reaching a resolution with one of your creditors!
